Privacy & Data Protection
Last updated: 13 September 2026
This website provides an independent accommodation priority registration service for visitors travelling to Ireland for the 2027 Ryder Cup.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
The operator of this service is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. The controller decides why and how personal data is processed and is responsible for protecting it in accordance with applicable Irish and EU data protection law, including the GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
For privacy questions or data-rights requests, contact [email protected].
2. Information we collect
For registration we collect the email address and payment/registration information needed to process the €150 / US$165 registration, maintain the registration record and contact registered guests.
If you complete an Accommodation Profile, we also collect the information you choose to provide about your group, travel dates, accommodation requirements, budget, transport, accessibility requirements and property preferences.
For property-owner enquiries, we may collect contact details, property address and Eircode, property characteristics, availability and other information you choose to submit through the property-owner form.
We may also process limited technical/security information such as IP-derived security identifiers, request timestamps and service logs where necessary to protect the website, prevent abuse and investigate security incidents.
3. Why we use your information
We use personal data to provide the priority notification service, maintain an accurate customer record, identify accommodation opportunities that may be suitable for a registered group, communicate service-related information, provide secure profile access, process payments, prevent fraud and abuse, operate and secure the website, and meet legal and accounting obligations.
4. Lawful bases
Depending on the activity, processing may be necessary to perform the registration/service contract, comply with a legal obligation, pursue legitimate interests such as operating and securing the service, or be based on consent where consent is specifically required. Where consent is used, it may be withdrawn without affecting processing already carried out lawfully before withdrawal.
5. Payment information
Payments are processed through Stripe and/or PayPal. We do not store customers' full payment-card details on our own website. Payment providers may process information under their own privacy notices and applicable contractual/data-protection arrangements.
6. Service providers and recipients
We may use carefully selected service providers for payment processing, website hosting/database services, transactional email, security and infrastructure. They receive only information needed for the service they provide and are required, where applicable, to process personal data under appropriate contractual safeguards.
8. Secure profile access
Customers can request a secure profile access link using the email address associated with their paid registration. Access tokens are randomly generated, stored only as cryptographic hashes, expire after a short period and are not intended to be shared.
10. Retention
We do not intend to retain identifiable personal data indefinitely. Data is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, for the operation of the service, for handling enquiries and transactions, and where required to satisfy legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or legal-claims obligations.
Registration/profile data will be reviewed for deletion or anonymisation when it is no longer required for the service. Certain transaction or accounting information may need to be retained for longer where a legal obligation or legitimate legal purpose requires it.
Temporary security/access tokens are designed to expire quickly. Security and request logs may be retained for a limited period appropriate to security and incident-management needs.
11. Your data protection rights
Subject to the conditions and restrictions in applicable law, you may have the right to access your personal data, have inaccurate data corrected, request erasure, request restriction of processing, object to certain processing, and request portability of certain data. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Use our secure Data Rights Request page or email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
The right to erasure is not absolute. For example, some information may need to be retained to comply with a legal obligation or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
12. How we handle rights requests
We record requests so that they can be verified, assessed and completed appropriately. We aim to respond without undue delay and, in general, within the time period required by applicable data-protection law. If additional information is reasonably necessary to confirm identity, we may request it before releasing or deleting personal information.
13. Complaints
If you believe your data-protection rights have not been respected, you may contact us first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission.
14. Children
This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly seek to collect children's personal data for registration.
15. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our processing activities, service providers, security measures or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page.
16. Independent service
This website is independently operated and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected with the official Ryder Cup organisers, Ryder Cup Europe, the PGA of America, or Adare Manor.
